Pretty, pretty blogs...

How pretty is this papier mache teacup made by Connie from The Paper Dialogues ? I can't wait to make one!

Following her links to the instructions also led me to discover the prettiness of Ann Wood's creations! There are just so many gorgeous pictures to look at, but I managed to choose just three...

Thank you to Creature Comforts for sending me on this little trail of pretty things!

The Very British April

I love the fact that I only had to work for 7 days in April! Along with the beautiful weather, wasn't it just like the summer holidays came early? Hence lots of adventure and wandering. Here are just a few images from the last month...

What a joy to wake up on that first day with a long holiday stretching before you...

The flowering of our wisteria was perfectly timed this year so that we wereat home to enjoy it...

Flowers also featured heavily in our sunny adventure to South Devon!

We were so excited to discover this bluebell wood on top of an ancient hill fort, just as the sun began to set...

With the gorgeous weather what better time to celebrate the beauty of our coast. Being not as familiar with the coastline at the south of the county I loved the clean blue and white of the marinas and the adventure of fossil hunting with all those layers of natural colour.

What I also loved was also all those candy colours, ice cream parlours and buckets and spades...

Ever since I read The French Lieutenants Woman last year I have wanted to visit Lyme Regis. Looking for fossils set in the stone of The Cobb kept Mr PD happy too as I lost myself in a daydream of looking out to sea for my French sailor!

Then of course it was time for THAT big day! We spent the weekend down in Cornwall through necessity but I still enjoyed the brass band, tea and wedding cake whilst watching on a big screen in Aylmer Square in St Austell. Then of course back to our campsite for Prosecco and strawberries...

Last April we were in Paris and had hoped to go back to France this Easter too, but I have to say that I have rather enjoyed my time noticing the things that are lovely about being in my country this April...
